Just relax and maybe go over the lesson plans for the next three days…?
Period 4: 9th Grade English
9:45 – 11:18 a.m.
First 45 minutes in class are to be spent silently reading "To Kill a Mockingbird." Please walk around and make sure students are reading, not wasting time. The idea is to use the time to get a good launch into the novel.
Then we shall move to the computers and you can continue researching personal stories from "The Great Depression" here.
Please continue working on and finish this fictitious letter about living through the Great Depression: Describe your home and neighborhood in detail. Include lots of specific and interesting information so that the reader of your letter can visualize your environment. Make sure and reference the difficult economic times you and your family and undergoing, similar to those of the characters in the book.
Mr. Butler will collect your letter at the end of class.
If you have any free time, please go ahead and comment on some of your friend's first semester finals in the "reader feedback" section -- support your friends!
